If you aren’t quite sure what the ADA Seal of Acceptance is, our Derek M. Lichter, DDS, Inc. team is happy to help you! The seal is a green-squared logo that is placed on oral hygiene products that have been tested for safety and effectiveness. If you are looking for a great product for your smile, choose one that has this seal of approval.
The Seal of Acceptance program began in 1931 and is still running today. It is a great program that informs us on the best, safest, and most efficient products possible.
Some products that can have the ADA seal of acceptance include:
· Denture products, like denture adhesives and denture cleaners
· Emergency tooth preservation products
· Floss and flossing tools
· Mouthwash, including antibacterial, fluoride, and non-prescription rinse
· Mouthguards
· Sugar-free chewing gum
· Pain relievers
· Teeth-whitening kits
· Toothbrushes
· Toothpaste
· Oral hygiene gel
· Water filters that do not filter fluoride
